Smart Money is a Wall Street Journal Magazine of Personal Business which was launched in 1992. The founders of Smart Money are Hearst Corporation and Dow Jones & Company. In 2010, Hearst sold its stake to Dow Jones. The first editor of the magazine was Norman Pearlstine. Smart Money is intended for affluent professional and managerial business people who need personal finance information. Regular topics of Smart Money include ideas for saving, investing, and spending, as well as coverage of technology, automotive, and lifestyle subjects including travel, fashion, wine, music, and food, etc. In June 2012, Dow Jones announced that Smart Money would be going all digital. The last paper edition was printed in August 2012, it was the September 2012 edition.
